Letter from Dai Williams in Australia.

Dougie and Ed,

Greetings from a very warm Sydney! I hope you both had a very good Christmas and New Year period.

Sydney is going exceptionally well. On the cricket front I have worked my way up from 4th grade to 2nd grade with a few scored, and that is where I find myself as the seasons draws to a close. They are very intense about their cricket here and even when I was playing 4th grade it was very nearly a matter of life and death for some!

I have recently landed myself a very good job working with an IT software company in their sales department. It is a young company and they seemed very keen on me - they are giving me a kind of 6 month trial and if I do well they are going to sponsor me a visa to stay here for the foreseeable future. So I very much doubt I will be back at BG this summer coming up - but have no idea where I will be there after. If I do end up in the UK, Barnt Green is definitely my first port of call as far as cricket goes.

I would just like to thank the club for a fantastic two years both on and off the field. BG is a wonderful club, and the more cricket I play the more I realise what a great place it was to play cricket. Please pass my regards on to everyone at the club.

On a more personal note I would just like to thank the both of you. I felt very much apart of not only the team but also the club. It is a very special environment to play and I will always look back fondly on my days on Cherry Hill Road.

Regards,

Dai
