Every week, each senior captain will nominate the best performing youth player from his side, then the chairman will pick the U18 player of the week from the candidates, the player who appears the most times on the list will be named the U18 player of the season

Adam Kelsey 6.2/0/20/4 for Sunday 2nds ( came onto bowl in 28th over with Droitwich only 3 wkts down )

Harry Bevan 38no for Sunday 2nds ( low scoring game )
Week 3 - 15th May

This week proved exceptionally difficult to decide & therefore, we have 2 U-18 players of the week:
Matt Lamb - scored 46 & took 2 wickets for the 3rds on Sat & then became our youngest ever player @13 to play for the 1sts in the Nat KO .He opened the bowling & his 6 overs went for just 19 runs & he had a catch dropped at slip ( Mr Shilvock)
Will Baker - had a fantastic weekend, scoring 108 for the 4ths on Sat & 66 for the Sunday 2nds

Week 7 - 12th June
There can only be one player this week & well done to Harry Bevan who had a great weekend !!
For the 4ths on Sat , took 2 for 14 off 11 & for the 2nds on Sun took 6 for 36 off 8 ( against a strong Bromsgrove team )
Week 8 -19th June
Ben Lucas for a great performance with the bat, also taking an excellent catch at square leg for the 4ths
Week 10 -26th June
This week it goes to Will Baker , who is enjoying an excellent season so far & this week scored 87 for the Sat 4ths , after they had been 51 for 6 !!!
Week 11 - 3rd July
This weeks award goes to Ben Dunne , who came onto bowl on Sat for the 4ths when top of the table Lye were 115 for 0 & then produced figures of 12/1/53/5 . He also bowled for the Sun 2nds & took 1 for 36 off his 8 overs.
A further mention for 2 other players who are producing consistent performances are , Dave Lamb ( another 50 for the Sat 2nds) & Ollie Butts ( excellent line & length bowling)
Week 12 - 10th July Sat 4s & Sun 2nds
This weeks award goes to Harry Bevan , who had another great weekend , taking 4 for 34 off 10 for the 4ths ( taking the last 2 wickets to win the game ) on Sat & scoring 52 for the Sun 2nds !!!
( Well done also to Ally & Ed Pollock , who bowled really well for the 2nds in their win against Smethick on Sat )

Ed Owen 4 overs 2 for 21 then
came in with score at 25 for 5 found 3 old gits to stay in with him long enough for him to score a very mature 43.

Week 15 - 31st July Sat 2s This week goes to Tom Brown , who took 5 for 29 , 2nds v top of the league on Sat & then on Sunday in the regional 20/20 final , took 3 for 20 off his 4 overs against a strong Wolverhampton 1st X1 , helping both teams to excellent wins !!
Week 16 -7th August Sun 1s This weeks award goes to Luke Clark , who scored a magnificent 124 in the Sunday 1sts win against a strong Himley side !!

Jack Eastgate - made 65 out of 113 for the Sat 3rds against Stourbridge Social on a really bad wicket !
Week 12 - 18th July
Ally Pollock - In the 3rds with fantastic bowling figures of 5.1 overs , 4 maidens, 6 wkts, 5runs! The opposition were 60 for 0 when he came on and he also got 15 not out with the bat.
Close 2nd is Nick Powell in the 1's who scored 41no batting at no 8 , which put BGCC into a position to win the game.
